Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Bench Research website at benchresearch.com and any related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Bench Research (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, purchasing credits, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Important — No Investment Advice

The Service produces AI-generated research outputs for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing produced by, on, or through the Service is investment advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any security or other financial instrument, an offer or solicitation, a guarantee of any future result, or a substitute for professional financial, legal, or tax advice.

Bench Research is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, financial planner, or fiduciary. We do not know your financial situation, risk tolerance, or objectives, and we do not provide personalized recommendations. You are solely responsible for your own investment decisions and should consult a qualified, licensed professional before acting on anything you read in a report.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts

Authentication is handled by Clerk. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at support@benchresearch.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

4. The Service

The Service lets you order AI-generated equity research bundles (“Reports”) on publicly traded tickers and historical analysis dates. Each Report is generated by a multi-agent large-language-model pipeline and delivered as a downloadable archive through your account dashboard.

5. Credits, Pricing, and Payment

Reports are paid for using credits. Credits may be purchased individually or in packs. Current pricing is shown on the Pricing page and may change at any time. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store payment card data on our servers.

Credits are non-transferable, have no cash value, and cannot be exchanged for cash. Credits do not expire on their own but may become unusable if your account is terminated for breach of these Terms.

5.1 Refund Policy

Because each Report consumes substantial third-party compute, all purchases are final and non-refundable, subject to the following exceptions:

  • If a Report fails to generate due to a fault on our side, the credit consumed by that Report is automatically restored to your account.
  • We may, at our sole discretion, issue a refund or credit in cases of duplicate charges or proven billing error.

If you believe you are entitled to a refund, contact support@benchresearch.com within 14 days of the charge.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute Reports as your own work.
  • Represent Reports to third parties as personalized financial advice or as the basis for offering investment-advisory services.
  • Attempt to access the Service through means other than the interfaces we provide, scrape it at scale, reverse-engineer it, or interfere with its operation.
  • Submit tickers or content in a manner intended to manipulate, harass, or defraud third parties.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, our software, and the look and feel of the website are owned by Bench Research and our licensors. You may use Reports you have paid for in your personal capacity and may share them privately, but you may not publish, resell, or commercially redistribute them without our prior written consent. The Service is built in part on the open-source TradingAgents framework, used under the Apache License 2.0; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by Tauric Research.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third parties including Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Cloudflare (file storage and CDN), Resend (email), and Anthropic (model inference). Your use of the Service is also subject to the terms and privacy practices of those providers. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third parties.

9. Disclaimers — Service Provided “As-Is”

THE SERVICE AND ALL REPORTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION.We do not warrant that any Report will be accurate, current, or free of errors, that the Service will be uninterrupted, or that defects will be corrected.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, BENCH RESEARCH AND ITS OPERATORS, OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOST PROFITS, LOST INVESTMENT GAINS, INVESTMENT LOSSES, LOST REVENUE, LOST DATA, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY REPORT, WHETHER BASED ON CONTRACT, TORT, STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitation or exclusion of certain damages, so the above may not apply to you in full.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Bench Research from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of: (a) your use or misuse of the Service or any Report; (b) your breach of these Terms; or (c) any investment or financial decision you make in reliance on a Report.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or pose a risk to the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service at any time; deletion of your account can be requested at support@benchresearch.com. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 1, 7, 9, 10, 11, 13, and 14) shall survive.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State in which Bench Research is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You and Bench Research agree that any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively by binding individual arbitration administered by a recognized arbitration provider, with venue and seat in the United States. You waive any right to a jury trial and any right to bring or participate in a class, collective, or representative action.You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing support@benchresearch.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
